There was war in the morning. But I sort of saw it coming anyway. It was one of those that simply escalated, without warning.
Then, we have P.E. As usual. But anyway, there was war. I'm in no condition to run for 2.4km. We were supposed to only run 1.7km but I came in later than the 1st girl. Oh well. No choice there, I HAD to run 2.4km. Nonetheless, I made it alive, but barely. No one has died form running, but I sure do not want to be the first.
After P.E was the continuation of the first war. But I made it through anyway.
Then there was the struggle with chinese. It was really a war. Just sort of like fighting to keep my brain cells alive. Good news at the end of chinese period. Only 3/4 of my brain cells died. I still have 1/4 of them to keep me functioning throughout the rest of the day.
Chinese was the last lesson of the day, but no, we couldn't go home. Reason being, we had to go to Temasek Polytechnic for their open house. But here this, it was COMPLUSORY. Strange huh? Open house, and compulsory. Those 2 words don't seem to go together, sort of like a oxymoron, self-contradictory.
Anyway. There was this major war in TP. First, Ms Balan abandoned me, knowing full well there I had practically no control over the boys. She left me there to take care of the class, so she could have lunch.
We were brought on tours, by various guides, one for each class. Our class's guide was Shishi. She was friendly and we had quite a interesting convesation with her, about stuff in general.
Then after 1 and a 1/2 tours later, we were all restless, and it was escalating into fustration. Oh well. Knowing full well what was going on, Shishi, out of kindheartedness, decided to let us go, to allow us freedom to roam around on our own. Then after 3/4 of the class left, did Ms Balan finally pick up her phone. She told us that only after we finished the guided tour could we go on our own. But there wasn't anything I could have done. The 3/4 that left were nowhere to be seen. Oh well.
Only about 10 of us, continused to follow Shishi for the guided tour. But we were all getting tired, and increasingly fustrated as well. Technically, the consent form stated that we should be ending aroung 3, and it was already like, 3.30, so I asked if she could let us go. And she did. Shishi even brought us to the bus stop. She was a great guide, it wasn't her fault that we were tired and fustrated. But I sort of felt guilty. She could have gotten into trouble because of us. That was pretty much the end of the 3rd war. Our war with boredom.
Nonetheless, what was done was done, and there was nothing we could do. So we left. Well sort of. I didn't. I went back in, to look for Denny and gang, so that our own 'war' could commence. Turns out, their guide didn't allow them to go. This is where the 4th MAJOR war begun.
We, me, Rensheng, Gary and later Kelvin, went on a search, to find the other guys. We located them in the Bussiness block. And from what I could see, the entired class was pretty much the same as our class, frustrated and tired. So I went over there, being the busybody me, and asked if they could go.
red=megreen=guide" Hi, our consent form stated that this thing would last only about 2 hrs, and will end around 3 plus."" The teacher doesn't allow them to go."" But the rest of the classes have already left."* dials phone*" Hello, 喂,许老师吗? 他们一个两个吵着要回家。好,是的。"(Hello, wei, xu lao shi mah? ta men yi ge liang ge chao ze yao hui jis. hao, shi de.)[Roughly translated as: Hello, Mdm Koh? They are comlaining that they want to go home. Yeah, ok.]" Your teacher said that only after you all have finished the tour can they go home."" But the other classes have all left. Besides, all the teachers have also gone home already."" Fine, you can all leave now."*class hesitates*" 你们要走,你们就走。"( ni men yao zhou, ni men jiu zhou)[If you all want to leave, then leave]
*class hesitates*
" 你们不是要走吗?要走还怕老师。 走吧, 走。"(ni men bu shi yao zhou mah? yao zhou hai pa lao shi. zhou bah, zhou)[ Didn't you all want to leave? You're afraid of the teacher and you still want to leave. Go, just go.]*class leaves*[colurful convesation. Reminds me of christmas.]Anyway, the point is, he was damned xia lan can? (dilect for fucked up. roughly at least)
Oh well, that pretty sums up the whole episode. Anyway, I'm in some deep mother of a shit now.Anyway. Our day ended with the showdown in Ang Mo Kio Goodspeed Cafe. It rocked man. Haha. We played DOTA still quite late, then we have dinner cum supper at KFC.Then when I eventually got home, there was one last war for me to last through. My parents. But I shall not elaborate on that, cause we all have parents, and we all know what tey are like. Oh well. This entry pretty much sums up my day. But alas, how war-ful.P.S Sorry if your computer can't read chinese. Edited on 24-01-06: included han yu pin yin for the benifit of those who can understand chinese and are curious what I worte in chinese, but can't see the characters because the computer can't read chinese fonts.
